My Portfolio

Websites

In addition to creating this website for myself, I’ve been able to work on the backend of a multitude of other websites since 2020, with responsibilities ranging from updating, editing, or adding content to taking the lead on design, copywriting , the creation of landing pages and conversion funnels, and more. Use the dropdown to view two examples of websites I redesigned.

  • Early June 2022, I offered to completely re-create the Brand Curators website from scratch on a new template to reflect the company’s recent rebranding. After working closely with the CEO to finalize the details- she launched the re-design as her new official website.

  • In June 2022, I offered to update and enhance the Quarter Horse PR website. I redesigned and wrote copy for the homepage, improved the existing landing pages, and created new pages from scratch (i.e. mission and values page). After meeting with the Principal and Founder to review and complete final edits, I was given the green light to re-launch the site.

Graphic Design

On many occasions I’ve been tasked with designing social media assets in Canva (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn). In addition, I’ve taken point on designing presentation decks and digital products for lead capture (i.e. free downloadable resources). Use the dropdown menu to view some designs I’ve created.

Note: In order to respect client privacy, all applicable logos have been removed from the designs and client names will not be disclosed.

  • For this task, I was asked to batch content to schedule for a client’s Instagram story. Femly is a natural period care brand.

  • While creating this website for myself, I knew I wanted a logo to set as my favicon and represent my personal brand, in a sense. View my logo here. Additionally, I designed the icons in the “My Capabilities” section on my homepage.

  • When redesigning the Quarter Horse website, I drafted icons to display the company capabilities in a more dynamic and visually engaging way. The initial drafts can be viewed here and the final approved design can be viewed on the Quarter Horse website

  • During the onboarding process of my position at Uproar PR, I undertook a small design project for fun. After looking at their social media style I created several template designs using the same branding and theming based off of some of their existing posts. The template designs can be viewed here

Press Releases/Bylines

During my time at Quarter Horse PR, I was able to work on a press release and two contributed bylines. Helping write the press release was one of my first tasks after starting the internship. I worked closely with one of Quarter Horse’s media relations strategists to learn the ropes of how to write a press release, i.e., general formatting and what to include versus not include. Additionally, I was able to ghostwrite two contributed bylines for a client. My drafts were used to produce the finalized bylines, now published in Forbes and Solutions Review.

Note: In order to respect privacy, no information on the client(s) be disclosed.

Project Management and Client Leadership

A large part of my initial experience revolved around been building out digital courses and managing their implementation on client /company websites. For one particular project I led the set up of a client’s course platform on Kajabi. I wrote copy and calls-to-action for their landing pages, created and published their initial courses and course page, I set up their checkout page, contact and about pages, as well as their home page. To accomplish this, I worked with team members from design, development, and video editing to obtain various assets (homepage video, course lesson tutorials) as well as ensure the website was fully functional with no bugs or glitches. The project concluded with a real-time Zoom walk-through of my work with the client, where they provided their final thoughts and feedback. This client continues to grow their business on the platform today.
